Coldspring sits quiet along TX-150, the kind of East Texas town where the pine trees outnumber the stoplights. When The Texas Grill opened here in 2013, it didn't just fill a dining gap — it gave the whole county somewhere to gather.
The Room Where Strangers Talk
Red-and-white checkered tablecloths, Texas wall art, and windows that look out over open country — the dining room has a way of making people comfortable enough to stay a while. Guests who came in as strangers have left knowing each other's names.
All Day, Every Day — Omelets to Surf-and-Turf
From fluffy omelets at six in the morning to surf-and-turf platters at night, the kitchen runs all day, seven days a week. The steam table lunch runs 11am–2pm, and the fried pickles alone are worth the drive.
Awards, a Fire, Still Standing
The Texas Grill has won multiple Best of San Jacinto County honors from the local Chamber — recognition earned one loyal guest at a time. When a fire destroyed the Shepherd location, Coldspring held steady, a testament to how deep the roots run here.
